Name: Elizabeth Lans

Nicknames: Liz, Liz the Lizard (she hates this lame-pun-of-a-nickname, though)

Species: Lizard

Type: Speed (no fur cuts down on air resistance)

Build: Slender and feminine, but sturdy enough to hold her ground when need be (albeit probably not for very long)

Residence: N/A, she's an explorer/adventurer (although her "base of operations" seems to be Station Square at the moment)

Occupation: Explorer/adventurer (and she's also known to do "odd jobs" to raise cash... Most of them she'd like to forget)

Likes: Physical activities, shopping, Matt the Wolf (she wouldn't confess this to him in a thousand years, though)

Dislikes: Being insulted because she is a female lizard (see below), shallow people

Hobbies/Talents: Indulging in both feminine (shopping!) and tomboy-ish (sports!) activities, singing (this is unconfirmed, as she refuses to say anything on the subject)

Personality

Liz is kinda hard to classify by any stereotype. She hangs around with the guys, but likes doing girly things as well. She can be as sweet as can be one minute, and very aggressive (and sometimes even violent) the next. This is probably because, due to her past (see below), she learned how to be "one of the guys" while secretly yearning just to be herself. Of course, she wouldn't actually admit this to anyone; only her closest friends know the reason for her unique personality.

 

Abilities

Physical

Quick and agile, while having enough strength to do some (minor) damage to non-metallic foes, great at hanging onto things, can do a simplified version of the spin-dash (it's not very fast, but since she has just a single row of spines along her back, it's as effective as a buzzsaw), can detach her tail if an enemy tries to grab it (it will grow back later, although she's never had to use this ability yet)

 

Learned

Streetsmart, can be quite the charmer if need be, good at... "persuading" people, capable of self-defense with a knife, has an artistic sense of style that is still relatively untapped

 

Chaos/Sol

None that she knows of...

 

Weaknesses

Not very strong, easily offended by certain things, somewhat self-conscious, a bit stubborn, her unique persona tends to confuse people (see below), allergic to latex (it makes her scales "molt"), susceptible to cold temperatures (lizards are cold-blooded, after all!)

 

History

Pre-RP

Liz was born and raised in Emerald Town by her parents, who loved her very much. However, she was constantly teased in school over one simple thing: she was a lizard. While all the other girls were mammals loved to show off their shinny, silky fur, all she had was scales, which they claimed made her look ugly. Shunned by the girls, she spent most of her time with the guys, participating in the "boyish" activities. However, she always longed to be able to just be herself; to be able to just be a girl without being made fun of. She knew that out there, somewhere, there must've been a place were people would look beyond the scales and see her for who she really was.

 

This continued into high school, until she met three guys who she got to know really well: Nate the Ferret, Matt the Wolf, and Shaun the Deer. They all had no real love for the "in-crowd", and, for the first time in her school life, she felt like she was with people who really accepted her. She even began to have feelings for Matt... Although she refused to tell anyone.

 

One day, Shaun brought up a crazy idea: once school let out (the school system in Sonic's world isn't nearly as rigid as it is in our own... How do you think characters like Tails and Charmy have so much time to go on their crazy adventures?), they should set out and see what there was beyond their little Emerald Town. For Liz, this idea really struck home: maybe she could finally find a place where she belonged, a place where being a lizard wouldn't make her "ugly", but beautiful in her own way. Regardless, the foursome soon set off, ready for an exciting adventure...

 

... Or so they thought. Unfortunately, they almost immediately had a nasty encounter with... Something. Liz can't quite remember what it was that attacked them, but after awakening in Station Square Hospital, she strongly believes it was the work of Dr Eggman. Regardless of who did it, one thing was certain: after exploring the hospital (with the help of a certain Blockhead Bill), the only other member of her group she found was Shaun. Matt and Nate were no where to be seen.

 

Now what? She had lost two of her comrades (and the third was out of commission) and was now lost in a huge city. Could their friends be captured, or worse...? There was no time to lose. The lizard set off, hoping that somewhere in the vast metropolis, there would be some clue as to the location of Nate and Matt. Liz was truly determined... She had to find Matt, no matter what.
