Personality

Though Scratch can come up with ideas, he's very bossy; always pushing or tricking Grounder to do the grunt work. He's such a glory hog, always trying to grab the credit as much as he can, and childishly as he can. Sadly, Scratch is easily tricked, even by the most badly made disguises. But Scratch isn't so tough when he's not hiding behind the brawn, or some destructive weapon to defend him.

With a new chip he found in the Death Egg Ruins, Scratch can disguise his voice to anyone he first came in contact.

Not even Knuckles is this gullible; Scratch will fall for the most badly made disguises (Okay, maybe just wearing glasses won't fool him.), but he's very cowardly.

 

History

Pre-RP

After his failure in Little Planet, Eggman wanted to be ready for Sonic before he can reach his Death Egg in Westside Island. Eggman decided to increase the AI capability, based on Metal Sonic's AI program, to human-like intelligence. His first test on a Badnik named Coconuts was a failure, but Eggman decided to use it on two robots. Scratch was the first, followed by his brother, Grounder. Sadly, these bots failed many times to stop Sonic and Tails.

 

The dance continued on, but this time, Eggman relied on Knuckles to take care of Sonic and Tails during the Angel Island adventure, leaving the two dumb-bots out of the job. Scratch and Grounder's last attempt to catch Sonic ended when they fell into a pit, where they were off-lined and left for dead in the Death Egg.

 

Now years later, their rusty bodies still lay in the ruins, until some certain characters meddled in, causing something that brought them back to life. With no where left to go, the two Badniks vow to catch Sonic, so to be back in Eggman's good graces.

 

Post RP

While Silver Sonic were meddling in the ruins of the Death Egg, a surge from his tampering caused to jump start the rusty robots, Scratch and Grounder. Being offline for years, they still do not realize many years have passed since the Angel Island adventure, and they think that their old master, Dr. Eggman, is expecting them home...if they can find him.

 

The two bots began their search through Central City, where they met a strange mouse acting like a mastermind, an annoying lobster, and of course...AUGH HONEY! Metal Sonic couldn't withstand her power, so these two were beyond no different, especially how rusty their bodies are; and they were forced to flee the city, ending up in Spring Yard. But Crunch followed them, and Scratch and Grounder tried to loose him, violently possible. But their efforts backfired and they were blown to pieces, only for those pieces to be gathered by Rotor.

 

When the walrus fixed them up, they instantly went back online and made a hasty retreat. With their tracking systems nearly working, they tracked Eggman somewhere near Station Square, where they got trashed by Omega. Grounder was sent rocketing through the atmosphere.

 

Scratch followed his brother all the way to a hospital in Metal City, where they found the opportunity to take their revenge on Knuckles. It wasn't long before Knuckles dumped them where they belong...in a garbage truck.

 

Will they ever find their master? Who knows, but without Scratch and Grounder by Eggman's side, their comedic skills will never be at their full potential; and THAT'S NO GOOD!

 

Cross RP

The dumb-bots finally found Eggman, but they're now reduced to doing small jobs, like picking up the groceries. Somewhere along the line, their guidance systems were scrambled, making them forget where Eggman's base is.

 

They randomly entered a bakery, where they found both SEGA and SatAM Antoine. Using bad cooking, they try to force them to tell where Eggman is...until a blast from the ol past waltzed in...Coconuts. However, this version was from the SatAM world, but Scratch and Grounder never paid attention to stuff like that, and they bullied him like old times. Because of this, the two coyotes got away, but the Dumb-bots gave up on them and continued to bully Coconuts...

 

...until they were warped to who knows where on Mobius.

Misc. Info

For those of you who don't know who this is, Scratch was a character from the old US series: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. You know, the cartoony one. He, along with Grounder were the 'other' Decoe and Bocoe, only funnier. Also, they were based on some badniks from Sonic 2.
