Personality

Sonic's the type of person who doesn't like waiting around for anything. He dislikes staying around in one spot for too long, and any time not spent doing something is time wasted. Even though he's not stupid by any means, he can appear to be quite flaky and airheaded every once in a while. He isn't very tactful, either, and will blurt out whatever he's thinking without even considering the consequences of his actions. While he can be impatient, restless, and sometimes arrogant, that doesn't exactly mean Sonic's a bad guy. He's actually quite nice when he wants to be, especially to those around him he considers his pals. And when the world is in need of support during a time of injustice, the Blue Blur is ready to fight for what's right! Though, after it's all said and done, he's back to being the wanderer he is, traversing the world to find the next big adventure.

 

Abilities

Physical

-Is able to run at Mach 1.

*Due to such speeds, he is able to scale right up the walls of buildings, or similar structures, and can also run right over the water.)

-Sonic Spin (Curls up into his spike ball when in motion, usually to break through obstacles or foes.)

-Spin Dash (Curls into a ball and revvs up before charging forward in a burst of speed.)

-Peel Out (Similar to the Spin Dash, but without the curling up part of the move. Feet tend to make the illusion of a figure 8 with this move.)

-Blue Tornado (He jumps into the air, and creates a whirlwind by circling a particular spot at high speeds.)

 

Learned

-He knows how to pilot, but Tails took the reigns of the Tornado after he met Sonic, so this ability is rarely put to use.

-He can drive. But why drive if you can run several times faster than the vehicle? Nearly never used.

Chaos/Sol

With just a single emerald, Sonic's speed and strength can sharply increase, but it's practically nothing compared to what Sonic is capable of when in possession of all seven. With the seven Chaos Emeralds, he is able to transform into a superpowered being of epic proportions, aptly dubbed 'Super Sonic'. Solely using the positive energy of the Emeralds, Super Sonic is near-invulnerable, extremely powerful, and unbelievably fast. Plus, he is actually able to soar through the skies, making him even more of a lethal projectile than before. However, because of the energy required to stay Super, the transformation doesn't last very long, and it eventually powers down.

 

As a side note, Sonic can also use Chaos Control like Shadow when in possession of an emerald.

 

Weaknesses

Sonic's all too prominent weakness is the fact that he is unable to swim, and he tends to steer clear of large amounts of water because of this. Sonic also has a crushingly large ego that has gotten him into trouble many a time. If there is ever so much as a hint of doubt towards the Blue Blur, he will rush forward to take on whatever challenge lies before him without assessing the situation.

 

History

Pre-RP

Sonic lost his parents at an early age, and has lived with his Uncle Chuck about as long as he can remember (hence the love of chili dogs). As a small child Sonic had a natural knack for running, and spent much of his free time trying to get faster. As he grew, the knack evolved into a highly developed skill, and by his adolescence Sonic was reaching the speed of sound -- with the help of his uncle's special friction-proof shoes.

 

When the news of Eggman's plans reached the hedgehogs, Sonic (age 9) immediately sprang into action to help. He bid his uncle farewell-for-now and raced off to stop the mad doctor. His success in the fight gained him two things: his independence, and the birth of his enormous ego. Sonic has been dueling with Eggman ever since, picking up friends like Tails and Knuckles along the way.

Uncle Chuck	Sonic's father's brother. Raised him from a very young age and still looks after him.
Shadow the Hedgehog	A black and red hedgehog whom rivals Sonic in terms of speed and abilities, created over five decades ago by Eggman's grandfather.
Metal Sonic	A robotic Doppleganger created by Dr. Eggman to rival Sonic to a T. Despite being constructed with such state-of-the-art technology, Metal has yet to best his organic counterpart.
