Personality

STEADY. IS. GAY. Although, for the most part, he doesn’t appear to fit the gay archetype. No flamboyance, no “limp-wristedness,” as he puts it. He enjoys watching any sport he finds on the television and brags about how great his teams are. He wants to get to know anyone he meets while bartending, and therefore enjoys asking questions of his patrons.

 

He is eager to make new friendships with the people he meets. He is also quick to forgive people for ticking him off. Usually, this happens when people mispronounce his last name (that is, pronounce the middle syllable as “red,” rather than “reed”). However, he gets angry with people who repeatedly do so!

 

Steady will step in and defend his friends and acquaintances as best as he can.

 

Abilities

Physical

Rabbits are natural speed demons. While not as speedy as our favorite blue hedgehog (natch!), Steady can sprint quite fast, able to reach maximum speeds of forty-five miles per hour. He has a lot of stamina, dashing fairly long distances before having to stop. He can also leap as high as five feet into the air without any strain on his body. Rabbits are also known to be good swimmers, as well as great listeners: Steady can even catch what a person is saying under his breath with those great ears of his.

 

Learned

Steady's experience operating a bar has sharpened his ability to tell what's on a patron's mind, whether they're sad, happy, or whether they've had one too many. He also has the ability to tell a patron how to solve a dilemma, or to present several possibilities. He has excellent math skills, to the point where he doesn't need the cash register to total up how much he is owed.

 

Chaos/Sol

Chaos Bounce! Based on how many Chaos Emeralds Steady has in his possession, he can travel much faster and bounce even higher!

 

Weaknesses

Despite Steady’s agility, he does injure easily. Of course, tripping at forty-five miles per hour would mean total disaster, full body casts, and mounting hospital bills. He also doesn’t pack as much strength as other members, thereby diminishing his potential as a fighter. He is single and looking, so he may be making passes on other potential mates way too often!

 

Steady has two major fears. He is afraid of heights and, as a result, prefers not to travel aboard planes. As Steady bounces much higher while under the influence of Chaos Emeralds, he may also freak out in mid-bounce. He is also afraid of fire; an uncontrollable inferno causes Steady to panic.

 

History

Pre-RP

Steady and his parents lived a quaint life in Emerald Town. He decided to come out of the closet when he was fifteen years old, thankfully with his parents’ acceptance. Upon graduation, he used his saving to lease a three-story restaurant/apartment building along Central City, renamed it the Regatta, and turned it into an English-style pub, the best place for sports nuts to gather (at least in Steady's opinion). Steady currently lives in his second-floor apartment/office.
